2nd Grade

Well it's Thursday again, time for another story from my youth.   Record your youth - get info HERE

A few memories I have from grade 2, age 7 are:

My sticker collection.  I remember displaying them and actually selling some to friends.

My "Errand Company".  I don't remember when I actually started this, but when I was 7, I had a 18 year old brother, 16 year old sister and 12 year old sister at home.  I was always asked to do an "errand" for them.  So, I started charging them money! :)  I would charge $.03 for "big" errands, $.02 for medium and $.01 for "small" errands (totally cheap huh!).  I would keep a tally and make my siblings pay up at the end of the month.  They couldn't believe how fast the money would add up!  I guess I've always been a businesswoman! :)

My class pictures and teacher:  Mrs. Winters
I remember one experience with my teacher, Mrs. Winters.  I felt she was one of my most "strict" teachers.  I remember that I didn't do too well on a Math test (never my strong subject) and I went up to her desk to ask for some help / figure out what I did wrong.  I don't remember the details, but I remember I started crying because I felt so bad that I did so poorly.  I remember asking for a bathroom pass (I had to follow the rules) and running to the bathroom crying.  I think she sent another student to check on me after awhile.  I was so embarrassed!
My "group" - 2nd grade.  Adam Davis is the 3rd boy from the left.

I remember having a few crushes on boys this year.  One of them was Adam Davis (pictured above).  I knew him from church.  I also had a crush on "John" from my class also (pictured left of the Principal).  I remember going to a friend's house and "prank" calling John and hanging up on him when he came on the phone.

I need to dig out my journal to get more details, but this is what I can remember right now.
