4th Grade

My fourth grade teacher was Mrs. Mac Leod.  According to my school scrapbook, I was 4' 6" tall and weighed 60 pounds.

My new friends this year were Abby Adams and Mandy Batsell.

This year in the "When I grow up I want to be" section, I marked
1) Mother
2) School teacher and
3) I wrote in "Piano teacher".

On my report cards, my teacher wrote, "Coralee is a joy to teach and to have in my class.  She is an excellent student, who is highly self-motivated.  She will always be successful."

"Coralee- have a great summer and a terrific year in 5th grade.  I truly enjoyed teaching you.  You are a special young lady, Mrs. MacLeod."

We took "Stanford Acheivement Tests" in the 4th grade.  I found my test results, which were interesting to look at.  I was "above average" in all areas except Math.  In the areas of addition, multiplication and geometry I was "average".  Kind of interesting how your skills and abilities develop at an early age.

My oldest brother got married the summer before this school year.  His new wife had a youngest sister my same age.  Her mom made us matching "flower girl" dresses (the one I'm wearing in my school picture) and then a matching dress for our cabbage patch dolls.
